Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SecureCodeHQ (the "Service"), operated by SecureCodeHQ ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. You must not share your API keys or allow unauthorized access to your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately via Crisp chat if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the Service for any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, plan restrictions, or security measures.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service (except for the open-source SDK and MCP server, which are MIT licensed).
  • Use the Service to store or transmit malicious content, or interfere with other users' access.

Service Plans and Payment

SecureCodeHQ offers a free tier and paid plans (Pro, Team, Enterprise). Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months. Plan limits (secrets, accesses, team members) are enforced automatically.

Intellectual Property

The SecureCodeHQ web application, API, and infrastructure are proprietary. The SDK (@securecode/sdk) and MCP server (@securecode/mcp-server) are open source under the MIT License. You retain full ownership of all secrets and data you store in the Service. We claim no rights to your content.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecureCodeHQ is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy. We will make reasonable efforts to allow you to export your data before deletion.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the Service or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
